This wording is placeholder and must be replaced by your legal counsel before launch. What follows describes what this system actually does with personal data, which is the right starting point for the real notice.
Only what an account needs.
When you register we hold your name, email address, telephone number and country. When you complete identity verification we also hold the details and documents that verification requires. When you invest we hold the record of your orders, holdings and distributions.
We record the IP address and browser of sign-ins and of actions that move money, because an account that holds an investment needs an audit trail.
Stored apart, and never emailed.
Documents you upload for verification are held outside the public part of the site under an unguessable path, are served only through an authenticated request that re-checks who you are, and every staff view of one is written to the audit log. They are never attached to an email.
No advertising, no selling, no profiling.
We do not sell personal data, we do not share it with advertisers, and we do not build behavioural profiles. Messages sent through the contact form are used to reply to you and nothing else.
Who else necessarily sees something.
Email is delivered through a third-party provider, which therefore processes your address and the content of messages we send you. Optional page translation is provided by a third party and can be turned off. Cryptocurrency payments are confirmed by reading public block explorers — we send them a transaction hash, never your identity.
Access, correction, erasure.
Counsel to supply the applicable rights and the response times your jurisdiction requires. In practice you may ask us for a copy of what we hold, ask us to correct it, or ask us to erase it — subject to the records we are required to keep about investments already made.
As long as the relationship, and then as long as required.
